"A cover of a song I like better than the original (post the cover)."
"Bridge Over Troubled Water"
by Clay Aiken
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in
Your eyes
I will dry them all
I'm on your side
Oh when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge
Over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come
To shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
Look around I'm sailing
Right behind
Like a bridge
Over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge
Over troubled water
I will ease your mi---nd
Your mind
Ease your mi----nd!
To my mother, who was watching American Idol with me when Clay Aiken sang this song and who loved his voice. I remember you.
